9 Months!

How in the world is Ginger Belle Ford 9 months already?!?! She is so silly and funny, and we are having so much fun being her parents. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...we are so very blessed to have her as our daughter!

Here are a few things little Miss Priss is up to these days:

  • standing by herself and clapping (maybe she will take that first step pretty soon)
  • crawling like a champ!
  • eating baby food but preferring table food
  • taking only 2 naps a day now :(
  • waking up around 6:30 and going to bed around 8
  • wearing a size 5 diaper...i know, i know...she's just fluffy :)
  • sporting 3 teeth on the bottom and 2 teeth on the top (fyi: her 2 teeth on top are her "vampire" teeth...too much Twilight during pregnancy? hmm...)
  • wearing 9-12 month clothes
  • pitching fits when she doesn't get her way...I am totally being paid back for talking about different people's out of control children!
  • saying "da da daddy" (She was saying "ma ma ma ma" around 6 months but apparently forgot how to say it once she learned "da da"...so sad!)
  • playing peek-a-boo by sticking her face in her shirt and pulling it out when we say, "Where's Ginger?"
  • making us fall even more in love with her every day!

Between the Lions

We took Ginger to the Mississippi Museum of Arts today to see a puppet show of Between the Lions. It was wonderful! She loves the T.V. show on PBS, so I was pretty sure that she would sit and watch the live show. Except for getting a little fussy at the end of the program, she was such a good girl, dancing and clapping during the songs and skits. We also got to go through the Jim Henson exhibit while there. I have to say, though, that the highlight of the day was when Hutson was singled out in the audience for not singing and participating during the "ABC Song!" His punishment? He had to go to the front and take the microphone and lead the adults in singing our ABC's. Hilarious!!! (I have included a picture but wish desperately that I had it on video!!!) Needless to say, he participate whole-heartedly in every other activity and song.

Worth the drive to Jackson and the cost of the tickets just to see this!!!

The lions were more interesting than taking a family picture.

Lately...

We have made the move from the Delta back to the "Hills" and couldn't be happier! Hutson is at work in Starkville, and I am at home with Ginger for the rest of this week and then begin a long-term subbing position at Eupora Elementary for 8 weeks. We found a very cute house in Eupora to rent and are almost finished moving in and unpacking. I have decided that I do not want to move again for another 5 years! (Hutson and I have been married for three and a half years and are on our third house...too much!!!) Other than getting settled in and back to "normal," there is not much else going on in the Ford household.

Pictures from the last couple of months:

Who doesn't love powdered doughnuts? Ginger is a huge fan!

I would venture to say that it was good night's rest!

This just cracks me up!

It Just Disappeared!

Ginger was highly upset when the apple puff she was slobering all over disappeared. I, however, couldn't stop laughing when I found it. Do you see where it went?

P.S. She still doesn't know where the apple puff went. Poor baby!

A New Decade!

Happy New Year!!! Where did 2009 go??? Oh yeah, I was taking care of an infant for half of it :) My sister-in-law asked me if I was going to call 2010, "Two thousand ten or twenty ten." I have no idea...guess whatever comes out. No matter how I refer to the year, I pray that God is as merciful and gracious to me and my family as he has been my previous 28 years!

Side note: Hutson's sister, Shirlianne, is behind Ginger, so that is her long blonde hair hanging past Ginger's ears. We have not suddenly grown shoulder-length hair!

Christmas 2009

This year Christmas was both wonderful and crazy! It was wonderful because it was Ginger's first Christmas. She started crawling a few days before Christmas, so she was full throttle when it came to going after her presents...so much fun to watch!!! It was crazy because we were in the middle of moving. (I do not recommend relocating during the holidays!) Despite everything being so hectic, this will definitely be a Christmas to remember!

Warning: Lots of pictures to follow! (I mean...hello...I haven't posted in 3 weeks! And you know I take pictures like a crazy soccer mom! :)

Santa was good to Ginger Belle!

Hutson putting together his first Christmas toy as a Daddy! He was so proud! :)

Big News!

WE ARE MOVING BACK HOME!!!

I have to admit that I'm not doing toe touches and cartwheels like I thought I would be if this day ever came. I have been so homesick for our family and friends, but God has been faithful and filled the void with new church family and friends. This news is very bitter-sweet to me. If Hutson would have given me this news last year, I would've run from Greenville like it was on fire (seriously!) :) but after meeting so many wonderful people here it will be hard to leave them without shedding a tear!

I ask for prayers as we make this transition in our life. We will either be living in Eupora or Ackerman, and Hutson will be working at the Starkville Eyedeal Optical. I feel very confident that God will open doors for us as we search for His will in this process.

I couldn't help but include this picture! Love her blue eyes!!!
