Back From My Hiatus

I'm back. You can stop asking around about me because I've returned, and I'm armed with about a hundred pictures. I re-entered the working world at the beginning of February, and it is so hard to balance hubby, baby, and job. My, oh my, did I have it easy when I was childless! What in the world did I do with my time after school??? My long-term subbing stint will be up at the end of March, so maybe things will return to a somewhat normal state. I have really enjoyed being back in the school setting and look forward to my own classroom next year. (That is, of course, if there is a job out there for me. Have you heard about the education budget cuts?? Frustrates me just typing about it!!)

I have included a dozen pictures of our lives lately...mostly about Miss Ginger B, obviously :)

One last thing: I have to share that I finally made time to get my hair colored since one of my students is convinced that I am 52.
Happy weekend to all!!!

Scare Tactics

Ginger was given a toy butterfly that flaps its wings and rolls on the floor to music. I think it's a precious toy; however, Ginger would not agree because it scares the living daylights out of her. It has been in the bottom of her toy basket until recently. We have been having problems with her opening the TV cabinet doors and pulling out all of the movies. Hutson decided to use the butterfly to our advantage. He put the toy in front of the cabinet doors, and she has not walked nor crawled anywhere near the thing in two weeks. Is this mean and ugly? Yes. Am I enjoying not telling her 50 times a day to stop opening the doors? Absolutely yes!!! Now we only need about ten more to place all around the house to keep her out of other trouble (mainly the garbage can since it's her new hangout).

Innocent butterfly toy that horrifies Ginger

Ok, this one is just mean of me, but I had to post it. I needed to convey the strong dislike Ginger has for this toy, and I think this picture captures it perfectly. She practically ran to the other side of the room.

Walking!

Ginger has been walking all over the house this afternoon! What makes her go? Dangling something in front of her that she wants really bad. Is that mean? She has taken a few steps in the past but nothing to really write home about. Today is a different story. This is full-on walking. I called Hutson at work all excited, but I'm sure as soon as he gets home and I dangle a toy in front of her she will go down on all fours and crawl to it, making me look like a big, fat liar. I know that all five of my readers are dying to see pictures of her since it's been so long (sarcasm!), but I can't find the camera cord. So sorry to disappoint! :)

I hope everyone is have a GREAT week! I leave you with a verse that keeps repeating in my head from the Beth Moore Bible study that I am currently doing. "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of His glory." Isaiah 6:3. I pray that you take time to witness His glory!
